Mother of the Church, honored at Medjugorje

This ministry is entrusted first to Our Lady. Under the title Queen of Peace she has called the world back to prayer, fasting, and conversion — the same conversion of heart good cinema can begin. Devotion connected with Medjugorje received the Holy See’s approval (nihil obstat) in 2024.

Prince of the heavenly host

Film is a battleground of light and shadow: the same screen can form souls or deform them. We ask St. Michael to defend this work, its filmmakers, and everyone these films reach.

Messenger of God · patron of communications

Gabriel announced the best news ever told. As patron of those who carry messages — broadcasters, messengers, communicators — he watches over a database whose whole purpose is helping the Good News travel through stories.

Patroness of television

One Christmas, too ill to leave her cell, Clare saw and heard the Mass as if present — which is why Pius XII named her patroness of television in 1958. She is the Church’s own patroness of the moving image.

Martyr of charity · apostle of the media

Kolbe seized the most modern media of his day — printing presses, radio — and put them entirely at the service of the Immaculata, before giving his life for a stranger at Auschwitz. He is the model for using new media boldly and purely.

Patron of actors

A Roman actor mocking baptism on stage, Genesius was converted by grace mid-performance and died a martyr. He belongs to everyone in front of the camera — proof that even performance can become the door to conversion.

Pope of the Letter to Artists

An actor and playwright before he was a priest, John Paul II wrote to artists that beauty is a vocation, and called cinema to be a bearer of transcendence. His Letter to Artists is close to a charter for this ministry.

First millennial saint · loved the internet for God

Carlo built websites to catalogue Eucharistic miracles and called the Eucharist his highway to heaven. Canonized in 2025, he shows that a database, too, can be an apostolate.
