Saint Peter Claver: Slave of the Slaves(2026)

EWTN Studios docudrama, filmed on location in Spain, Colombia and Cabo Verde, on the life and priestly ministry of St. Peter Claver (1580–1654), the Spanish Jesuit who vowed to be "the slave of the slaves forever." Framed by clergy gathering to weigh the case for his canonization, the film follows him from his childhood in Catalonia and Jesuit formation to forty years in the slave port of Cartagena, where he met the ships, tended the sick and dying, and baptized some 300,000 enslaved Africans. Written and directed by Pablo Burgos-Bosch, with an original score by Ivan Capillas. In Spanish with English subtitles. Premiered on EWTN and EWTN+ on the saint's feast day, September 9, 2026.
